Zeek, a new decentralized social collaboration network, raises $3 million in seed funding to reshape Web3 social reputation

Zeek is a decentralized social collaboration network that has successfully raised $3 million in seed funding ahead of its official launch in July. The platform aims to revolutionize Web3 social reputation through its innovative social bounties and reputation mechanisms.

Investors in this round include OKX Ventures, Animoca Brands, Mask Network, Arche Fund, Summer Ventures, Blockchain Coinvestors, Aspen Digital, CatcherVC, Panony, Spacebar, Hardbank, Jason Kam of Folius Ventures, Ivan Li of Comma3 Ventures, and Donny Chi of WeMade.

Zeek Goals and Features

Zeek leverages the OpenSocial protocol to enable users to monetize their social behaviors and skills through mechanisms such as “Wishes” and “Rizzs.”

  • Wishes: These are social bounties that users can create and participate in, covering a range of activities from seeking information and insights to expanding the network.

  • Rizz: A reputation token that reflects a user’s contribution and participation in the network. It acts as a decentralized recognition of the social value created by users.

Zeek CEO Angus Ko envisions the future of SocialFi as the financialization of existing social behaviors. Zeek bridges the gap between social influence and blockchain-based identity through its reputation layer.

Mask Network founder and CEO Suji Yan says Zeek has great potential

Mask Network founder and CEO Suji Yan said:

We see great potential for consumer-oriented initiatives like Zeek to merge real-world application scenarios and gamified experiences in social and gaming environments.

Zeek's decentralized collaborative economy promotes collaboration through on-chain bounties. By monetizing the idle value of social networks and personal skills, it creates new opportunities for all participants. We believe this will make disruptive technologies more accessible and enjoyable to the masses.

Zeek scheduled for July release

Zeek is set to launch in July and is currently in a private beta testing phase. Interested users can pre-register through X and Discord accounts. In addition, Zeek will release its Tier-0 Genesis NFT series later this month, limited to 250 pieces.

Zeek represents a major step forward in combining social collaboration with decentralized technology, paving the way for a new era of trust verification in the Web3 world. Through its innovative approach to social bounties and reputation systems, Zeek aims to enable users to verify reliability and influence within digital communities.

About Zeek

Zeek is a decentralized collaborative economy designed to incentivize reputation and is powered by an innovative social bounty mechanism called “Wishes”. Individual behavior and engagement contribute to a reputation layer called “Rizz” that can be monetized and used to measure trustworthiness, reliability, and influence.
