Video game giant Ubisoft unveils a fresh set of NFT avatars within The Sandbox, a metaverse gaming sensation. This strategic move underscores Ubisoft's deepening engagement with blockchain technologies, solidifying its status as a prominent player in this innovative realm.

Ubisoft introduces a captivating series of avatars inspired by their Netflix animated hit, "Captain Laserhawk: A Blood Dragon Remix." This adult-oriented show seamlessly blends various Ubisoft franchises, and the avatars aim to mirror this diverse fusion.

The collection showcases 1,866 distinct player avatars, featuring beloved characters like Rayman, Jade, and Pey’j from Beyond Good & Evil. Minted on the Polygon network, these avatars boast a futuristic cyberpunk style, mirroring the show's distinctive aesthetic.

The pricing details remain undisclosed, with the minting event scheduled for November 29. Notably, Ubisoft's prior venture into The Sandbox involved Rabbids avatars, each selling for 100 $SAND tokens. Although their current value translates to approximately $42, it was significantly higher during the initial sale.

Captain Laserhawk Unveiled

"Captain Laserhawk: A Blood Dragon Remix" stems from the Far Cry 3 expansion, Blood Dragon. This series serves as a melting pot, intertwining references and characters from diverse Ubisoft titles, including Assassin’s Creed, Splinter Cell, and Ghost Recon.

Cypher Protocol contributor "hoak" admitted on X platform on Tuesday that he stole nearly $500,000 of Cypher Protocol's community funds because of his gambling addiction. Hoak said: "I know that nothing I say or do may improve the situation-maybe except rotting in jail. It cannot be ignored that these allegations are true, and I took the funds and gambled them away. I didn't run away with it, and no one else did it." According to data shared by Cypher Protocol core contributor "Barrett", the stolen funds include $314,674 in USDT, USDC, and SOL, which were sent to Binance through wallets associated with hoak. In addition, the same wallet has accumulated more than $184,077 in ETH, RLB, ORCA, RAY, USDT, USDC, BONK, JitoSOL, mSOL, and WSOL. Hoak's public confession seems to have been triggered by a quietly conducted investigation on the Cypher Protocol Discord server. Hoak wrote: "First of all, I want to deeply apologize to everyone affected. I know that nothing can undo my behavior at this moment.
